Our Story

Chesapeake Goods & Co. was born from a love of simple living, traditional craftsmanship, and the place I've always called home.
I grew up in Maryland, where summers were spent on the Chesapeake Bay,exploring the shoreline, boating with family, and enjoying the slower pace of life that makes this region so special. Those memories shaped my appreciation for nature, quality, and the simple things that endure.
I've always been a maker at heart. Whether it was crafting, creating, or learning new skills by hand, I've been drawn to the satisfaction of making something thoughtfully and with purpose. As I began exploring traditional skincare, I found myself inspired by old-world methods, when products were made in small batches, ingredients were recognizable, and quality mattered more than convenience.
That inspiration became Chesapeake Goods & Co.
Today, I handcraft each product in Maryland using grass-fed tallow, whole botanical infusions, and carefully selected ingredients. Rather than relying on synthetic fragrances or complicated formulations, I focus on time-honored ingredients that have been used for generations to nourish and support healthy skin.
The name Chesapeake Goods & Co. reflects more than where I'm from, it reflects the values behind everything I create. I wanted the brand to feel like a modern-day general store, inspired by the heritage, craftsmanship, and natural beauty of the Chesapeake region.
Today, I live in Baltimore City with my husband and our two Labrador Retrievers. As fellow small business owners, we both understand the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and building something meaningful from the ground up. While my husband serves our local community through his business, I spend my days formulating products, infusing herbs, packaging orders, and continuing to grow Chesapeake Goods & Co. one small batch at a time.
Every jar, balm, lotion, and soap is made by hand with care, using ingredients I would proudly use in my own home. My goal is simple: to create honest skincare rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and a genuine love for the Chesapeake way of life.
Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to share a little piece of Maryland with you.
